OfficeDrop has developed custom code to make ScanDrop work with your Fujitsu ScanSnap S500. Even though the configuration steps outlined below look like a lot, it should take no more than few minutes. Once you complete the configuration, scanning using your ScanSnap scanner is as easy as 1-2-and their is no 3.
Before you get started, ensure that the software that came with your ScanSnap Scanner is installed and you are able to scan documents with it. To verify that your scanner is working, insert few paper documents into your scanner tray and press the scan button. If the documents are scanned then your scanner is working. If not, please refer to ScanSnap documentation to ensure that you followed all steps when installing the software and that the scanner is connected to your computer.
Uncheck the Use Quick Menu menu option if it is not already unchecked to disable the ScanSnap Quick Menu. Click on the SCAN Button Settings... menu option to show additional settings.

Right click the same ScanSnap icon in the windows system tray and select the Scan Button Settings... menu option to open the Scan Button Settings screen.

In the Application Name field, enter ScanDrop to Google Docs as the name. Press the OK button to close the Application Settings screen and Close button to close Add or remove application screen.

From the settings screen as shown below, select ScanDrop as the current profile. From the Application tab, select ScanDrop to Google Docs as the current application.
