When documents are scanned by OfficeDrop, the standard format is text-searchable PDF. Customers can request other formats, but OfficeDrop scans to PDF by default if no special instruction is given.
PDF format is widely accepted by most document reading applications, and it needs no special software to be accessed. It is rare to find an application that does not accept PDF, making it an ideal format for online sharing and access.
A single PDF can be composed of a number of pages, allowing easy grouping of your information. If you have a physical folder of documents, that folder could be converted to a single PDF which can be opened to display the contained documents.
Once OCR is employed, PDFs can easily be searched with most document viewers. If viewing with Adobe Acrobat, the search bar can be used to locate and highlight any search terms contained in the document.
