Document scanning prices depend on a number of variables. OfficeDrop offers two types of scanning services.
Bulk document scanning: For standard sheets, document scanning is priced by the image (i.e non blank side). OfficeDrop also offers bulk document scanning services. Bulk scanning services are only available to paying subscribers to our digital filing system. Discounts are available to customers who have been paying subscribers for more than three months.
Monthly mail-in scanning: Subscribers to our monthly mail in scanning plans pay for scanning every month. This price includes a base level of scanning plus overages. OfficeDrop offers a free plan, with no credit card required, that gives you one trial scanvelope so you can see the quality of our scanning. Depending on the service, image number can either increase or decrease your bill. If you are signed up for monthly subscription, you are allotted a number of envelopes that hold 50 pages each. If you send an envelope containing more than 50 pages, we charge an extra 25cents per image.
However, if you are interested in bulk scanning, a higher number of pages actually decreases your price per image. We offer bulk scanning for our subscription customers (customers of OfficeDrop Online) starting at 1,000 images. See our document scanning page for more information. Discounts tend to start at over 10 boxes of documents. Note that bulk scanning services (and bulk scanning pricing) is only available to paying subscribers to the OfficeDrop digital filing system.
If your documents are bound, that may mean that we need to cut the binding in order to scan the pages. If this is the case, there will be a service fee for removing the binding.
If documents are larger than will fit in standard autofeed scanners, they require flatbed scanning. If flatbed scanning is required, an added service fee is charged.
OfficeDrop gives you the option of storing your scanned documents on either DVDs or an external hard drive. If you request this service, the is added cost but we only charge you the price of the DVD or external drive + the labor to create the drive.
